I consciously strive to maintain a balance of structured and non-structured time, so that kids can exercise, use their imaginations, and develop their sense of self, but also learn to cooperate and follow directions. We follow a familiar daily and weekly pattern because it makes children feel safe and secure, but activity times may allow for extended interest or work on projects. Mealtimes and nap time are always on a regular schedule so that children dont become hungry or fatigued.

Here’s the basic flow of our day:

  • Arrival – Free Play, Soup Making, Bread Baking
  • 9:30am – Snack
  • 10:00am – Circle: storytelling, yoga, music
  • 10:30am – Art Studio: painting, handwork
  • 11:00am – Outdoor Play*
  • 12:30pm – Lunch
  • 1:00pm – Nap
  • 4:00pm – Snack
  • 4:15pm – Free Play
  • 4:30 – Close

*Outdoor play time will be adjusted in extreme weather temperatures. Children play outdoors every day.
